Est. 1966 — Worldwide

Global methodology, local team.

Leadership Management International has been developing leaders and organizations around the world since 1966. LMI Polska brings this methodology into the context of Polish companies.

I.LMI globally

Six decades of working with leaders.

LMI was founded in 1966 in the United States as an answer to the question: what makes one leader build a company others want to emulate, while another — despite knowledge and experience — gets stuck. Since then, the methodology has been continuously developed and implemented by a network of independent partners around the world.

II.The founder

The man who defined modern leadership development.

Paul J. Meyer — entrepreneur, author and pioneer of the personal development and leadership industry. Founder of LMI and author of the concepts that are still the foundation of the methodology today: Total Leader, Total Person and a process-based approach to change. His idea was simple: developing people and developing the organization are the same process — if you take both seriously and implement them in action.

“Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe, and enthusiastically act upon must inevitably come to pass.”
— Paul J. Meyer
III.Biography

From migrant fields to a global leadership development brand.

Paul J. Meyer's life began in difficult circumstances — in a family of poor immigrants. He spent most of his childhood doing physical work in fields, orchards and vineyards alongside other seasonal workers. After one particularly exhausting day, young Meyer asked his mother: “Will I have to work with my hands all my life?”

His mother placed her hands on his head, looked him in the eye and said:

Years later Meyer said: “At that moment I knew the choice was mine. Everything depends on my attitude.”

Between the ages of 13 and 18 he set national records in newspaper sales and plum picking, earned the Eagle Scout rank — the highest in American Scouting — and broke fitness records in the military. At 19 he was setting insurance sales records, at 22 he became the youngest member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, and at 27 — a millionaire.

In 1960, following his vision, he founded Success Motivation International. From a rented auto-repair workshop, the company became a world leader in its industry. In 1966 he extended the vision by founding Leadership Motivation Inc. — an organization that over time became Leadership Management International (LMI), with the mission: “To develop leaders and organizations to their full potential.”

Over the course of his life, Meyer founded or acquired more than 70 companies, many of which operate to this day. He became the most published author of development materials in history and revolutionized the personal development industry. His legacy lives on in the daily work of LMI partners around the world.

VI.Why we do it

Four decisions behind every success.

At LMI we believe success begins with attitude and four conscious decisions. The same set we have been teaching leaders around the world for decades.

  1. 01
Be where you want to be

Decide unambiguously that you are with the company, industry and team you want to be with. Without full commitment, it shows in everything you do.

  2. 02
    Choose your role

Don't try — be. “Trying” already contains the thought of failure. Every hesitation costs you results and credibility.

  3. 03
    Promise less, deliver more

Give clients more value than they expected. They will become your ambassadors and the first advocates of your business.

  4. 04
    Take responsibility for your life

Your circumstances are the result of your decisions — not the other way round. Awareness of this gives you the power to design your own success.

“Your success is our ultimate goal.”
